Terms

Effective October 19, 2026

These terms apply when you use mindcalmwell.com, send us an inquiry, book a free consult call, or attend a session in person or online. Please read them before you book. By booking or attending, you agree to them. Our Privacy notice explains how we handle your information.

MindCalmWell ("MindCalmWell", "we", "us") is a small, independently owned business based in Connecticut. In these terms, "we" includes MindCalmWell's owner and the people who lead its sessions.

1. What we offer, and what we don't

MindCalmWell offers breathwork, meditation and life coaching for general wellbeing.

Eddie also builds apps, websites and tools for people and small businesses. Each of those projects is covered by its own written agreement, not by these terms.

These services are not therapy, counseling, psychotherapy, medical care or addiction treatment. They do not diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and they are not a substitute for care from a doctor or a licensed mental health professional. Eddie is not a licensed mental health counselor, psychotherapist or medical provider, and nothing he says in a session is medical or mental health advice. Eddie's background in addiction and mental health care coordination informs his approach, but MindCalmWell does not provide clinical, counseling or care coordination services.

If you are working with a doctor or therapist, please keep doing so, and talk to them before starting breathwork.

If you are in crisis in the US, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline). If you are in immediate danger, call 911. MindCalmWell cannot respond to emergencies.

2. Who can book

You must be 18 or older to book or attend.

3. Inquiries and booking a session

Sending the form on our website, or booking a free consult call, is not a booking for a session. A session is booked only when we confirm it to you in writing (by email or text), including whether it is online or in person, the time and any fee. Nothing is paid through this website. Before each breathwork session, we send you a short session agreement and a private health screening (section 5), and the details: where to go, or how to join online.

We may decline a request for any lawful reason, for example if a session is full or not a good fit.

4. Free consult calls

A free consult call is a short conversation, about 15 minutes, about whether working together makes sense. It costs nothing, you are not committing to anything, and it is not a session or advice.

5. Health screening

Before every breathwork session, in person or online, everyone signs our short session agreement and completes a private health screening. Please answer the screening honestly and completely, and tell us before the session if anything changes.

The screening helps us decide whether a session is a safe fit. It is not a medical examination, and our saying yes is not medical clearance. Only your doctor can give that. If the screening shows a session is not a safe fit for you right now, we will tell you before the session (for payments, see section 7).

6. Your health and the risks of breathwork

Breathwork in this style uses fast, deep breathing for an extended time. It can cause dizziness, light-headedness, tingling, numbness, muscle tightness or cramping in the hands and face, changes in body temperature, nausea, and strong emotions, including memories or feelings you did not expect. In rare cases it can trigger fainting, a seizure, or a heart or breathing problem.

Please get your doctor's OK before booking if you:

During a session:

If you join online:

By booking, you confirm that you have read this section, that you understand these risks are part of the practice, and that you choose to take part.

7. Payments

Nothing is paid through this website, and the free consult call costs nothing. If a session has a fee, we confirm the price, how to pay, and what happens if you or we need to cancel or reschedule, in writing (by email or text) before you pay. Those written terms apply to that session.

8. Respect in the room

Sessions work because people feel safe. Please treat everyone with respect, follow the facilitator's safety instructions, and keep what others share private. Please do not photograph, film, screenshot or record other participants, in person or online, without their permission. We may ask anyone who puts others at risk to leave.

We will only use photos, video, your name or your words in our marketing with your written permission (for example, the permission on our session agreement). You can withdraw it for future use at any time by emailing us.

9. Our responsibility to you

We take care to run safe sessions. But breathwork, movement and outdoor activity carry the risks described in section 6, and some of them remain even when everyone does everything right.

To the fullest extent the law allows:

Some laws do not allow a business to limit its responsibility for its own negligence, or for certain kinds of harm. Where such a law applies (including New York General Obligations Law section 5-326 where it applies), this section applies only as far as that law allows, and nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be waived.

10. Testimonials and stories

People who have attended sometimes share their experiences, and we share some of them with permission. They describe individual experiences. Every session feels different, and some people notice only mild effects. A testimonial is not a promise of any result.

If you send us your story, we will ask before we share it, and we will not change its meaning.

11. Products

The PRACTICE card deck, the Reminder to Rise bookmark and other products are ordered by request. We confirm price and availability in writing before you pay. The book is sold through Amazon under Amazon's terms. The Chakrablaster game is a separate website with its own terms.

12. Our content

The words, photos, videos, music, designs and other content on this site and in our sessions belong to MindCalmWell or to the people who licensed them to us. You are welcome to view and share links to our pages for personal use. Please do not copy, sell or republish our content, or record sessions, without our written permission.

13. Using this website

Please don't misuse the site: no attempts to break or overload it, no spam through our forms, and nothing unlawful. We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or online.

Links to other sites (Amazon, Instagram, YouTube, Calendly, Google Forms, Zoom and others) are for your convenience. Their own terms apply, and we are not responsible for them.

14. Website disclaimer

Information on this site is general wellbeing information. It is not medical, mental health or professional advice. To the fullest extent the law allows, the website is provided "as is".

15. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to a session is the one posted on the day you book it. If we make an important change, we will update the effective date above.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, unless the law gives you the right to bring it somewhere else. Nothing here prevents you from bringing a claim in small claims court, and nothing here takes away any protection that the law of the place where you live or attend cannot let you give up.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
